News Flash!

Lloyd Carr announces his retirement!!! It seems that Lloyd Carr is ready to retire from coaching and enjoy a lower pressure job. More details will be included in the next blog, but just keeping you updated.

Correction- The OSU Vs. MI game was actually Nov. 17, 2007 but I didn't get to post until now, that's why it says today.

Ohio State vs. Michigan

The biggest game of the college football season happened today. It was OSU vs.MI, the biggest college rivalry in history. This was also the final game of the season for Ohio State. After their loss last week, they do not stand a good chance of making it to the BCS National Championship Game, but they came right back against MI.
The Buckeyes took the lead early in the game. MI did not play well for a majority of the game. They primarily played their new freshman quarterback. This quarterback was the third freshman to ever start for MI. In the 4th quarter senior quarterback Chad Henne was brought back to play in his final home game of his career.
Ohio State played phenomenolly well!! Wells, #38, had a total of 39 carries and 222 rushing yards. Vernon G., #50, had a total of 3 sacks on Chad Henne alone!! He was unstoppable. MI lineman adjusted by upping the coverage on Vernon, which led to another Henne sack by al less well known Buckeye player.
OSU kicked some MI butt majorly!! It was awesome. The final score was 14-3. Ohio had 229 yards run and a new record of 6-1 against MI since Tressel began coaching. Ohio still has the Rose Bowl to look forward to in Pasedena, CA in January of 2008. MVP's for the game were Chris Wells, #28 for the Buckeyes, and Tim Jamison, #90, a senior for MI, who had 8 tackles.
The big question of the game was will Lloyd Carr return for another year as coach of the Michigan Wolverines? THere has been talk that he will not return, but no official word has been given yet. Overall, he has a good record coaching, but with MI he has had a rough time. THis year MI's record was 8-4, not what would be expected from a Big Ten team and a Big Ten coach.
Ohio State's final record was 10-1! What a great season for the Buckeyes!! They will be waiting to see who their opponent will be for the bowl game. Choices are: LSU, Oregon, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona State, USC or Oregon. It will be an exciting game though that's for sure.

Thank you Ohio State Buckeyes for your hard work, your effort and your entertainment. It was a great season and I look forward to another. Maybe next year they will be National Champs again.

Go Bucks!!!

Yes, I am an Ohio State Buckeye Fan and a Detroit Red Wings Fan!!!

Welcome to my world. I am what some would consider a confused sports fan. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI, and somehow came out a Buckeye fan (thanks to my awesome Dad!) My Dad was born in Ohio, so before I even started school, I was already a Buckeye fan, never to change my ways again- The Ohio State Buckeyes run through my blood- it is my roots, and I will never regret or forsake that.
So, if your a guy who loves sports, sorry for some of this mushy stuff. This is a sports blog maybe more appealing to the girls who love sports. I may not have all the latest updates, but I love the Detroit Red Wings and the Ohio State Buckeyes, so this is my attempt to keep more up to date on what's going on. Now that I live in MN it is harder to watch the games live on TV, so I will be gathering info from the internet, to inform myself and anyone else who loves these teams.
This is for all you Detroit Red Wings and Ohio State Buckeye Fans out there! To anyone else, I send a word of caution; I am VERY PASSIONATE about these two teams- so watch out! I may express strong opinions about things at times. But if you are passionate about sports too, then this is just the place to find up to date, accurate info with a twist. Thanks for reading and welcome- I hope you enjoy it!
